Hello from your PTO board, Tramy, Cedar, Julie and Amy.
We want our students to have opportunities to build community, develop their social skills—and have fun!
That's why we parents are hosting, for the third year, outdoor Fall Fest dances at the Boys & Girls Club located at 675 Watertown St, Newton, MA 02460.
- The events will each have a DJ, free photo booth, and concession stand with snacks and drinks sold for $1 each.
- There is no fee for entry.
- These are outdoor events that will continue in light rain. There is no rain date. It may be cool outside. We love to see students dressed up, but they should be comfortable, too.
These events are for Day Middle School students only. Each student attending must be pre-registered by a parent or guardian.
As an event run **entirely** by Day parents, we need MANY (60-80) parent/guardian chaperones, or the event will not happen. Please sign up here to commit to chaperoning an event. If your child is concerned about you being there, please let them know that you'll be in an assigned role and not focused on them at all. Chaperone zoom is on Wed Oct 11, 7:30-8:30pm.
6th grade: Friday, October 13 from 6:30-8:30pm (pre-register by 10/11)
7/8th grade: Friday, October 20 from 6:30-8:30pm (pre-register by 10/18)
STRICT NO-ADMITTANCE POLICY AFTER 7:00 PM.
REGISTRATION OPENS TODAY
Pre-registration is free and required. Parents/Guardians MUST pre-register their child here or they will NOT BE ADMITTED.

- No changes to the plan will be allowed, in order to accommodate student safety.
- Students will not have bathroom access after 8pm.
- Please try not to bring a bag or backpack. Bags that do need to be brought in will be subject to a bag check.
- Parents/guardians should be available during the event if we need to call for pick up.
- Dress code is casual, fun and weather appropriate. No costumes.
Before Signing Up
- Before registering for this event, we ask that you have a conversation with your child about it.
- Explain that attending this event is a privilege.
- This is a parent-run event. Parent volunteers will set the rules and expect them to be respected.
- If it doesn't go well, we will need to cancel the event for the next group of students, and/or not have other events.
HUGE THANK YOU to the AMAZING Boys & Girls Club of Newton for letting us use their parking lot, electricity and facilities! They offer affordable, fun programming for kids after school...and have openings for middle schoolers.
